Hi! I'm Misato from Menlo Park, California, and I like playing volleyball, taking photos, and playing with Legos.
Fun fact!
I stuck a Lego up my nose when I was two years old. I started playing taiko in March 2017, with a short break during spring quarter because I was studying abroad, then back again in September of the same year. The founder of Hidaka Taiko, Yukiyo, had talked to me and a few others about wanting to make a taiko group at SU ever since she began her study abroad. I had already been interested in taiko at this point, but when I saw the group perform at International Dinner and Day of Remembrance, I knew I wanted to join!
What I love about Hidaka Taiko... The excitement and energy! Good exercise! But most importantly, THE PEOPLE! How do you feel about Hidaka Taiko this year? It’s exciting to see all the new members improve every practice! Gen 3, thank you for being so patient with us while we try to figure out the best way to run practice with so many people and so little drums!! Updates on life... I’m graduating in June! Wooooo!! I don’t know what I’m going to do after so please don’t ask!!!! I am currently an intern at Inochi Taiko! Super exciting stuff to be able to learn from such experienced Taiko players! |
PS... I don't like Peo
Just kidding! I love you all! Thank you all for making the last two years of my college career full of lifelong memories. Of the 200+ hours that I have spent with you all (just this school year lol), I don’t regret any minute of it.
